Directions to make sea moss gel:

Make your sea moss gel in few easy steps.

Rinse your moss, inspect for sand and other sea debris.

Soak 8 hrs - overnight (preferably in spring water, with cut limes - optional) & rinse thoroughly the next day.

The sea moss will turn to a translucent slightly-lighter color. It will have a slippery, soft texture. It will grow to 2-4 times its original size.

Drain off the water, rinse clean.

Cut your sea moss a few times to create smaller pieces, so the moss does not wrap around the spindle and tangle in your blender.

Add spring, filtered or alkaline water until it just reaches the top of the sea moss in the blender.

Blend until smooth and creamy (usually about 5 mins) .

Your sea moss should not taste grainy. If the consistency is grainy, you either need to blend some more, or add more water.

Pour into a mason jar, or your closed container of choice and refrigerate. Sea moss will thicken in the refrigerator. Stays fresh for 3-4 weeks.

Add it into smoothies, soups, sauces, mix it into oatmeal, puddings, drinks- or take it straight! 1-2 tablespoons per day.

You can even use it ask a hydrating face mask as well. It is great for skin, hair and nails.

You can also store your moss in the freezer; and use within 9 mos- 1 year. Be sure to use a freezer-safe container and leave some space, as the moss will expand when frozen.
