The Taste:

Cacao husk tea has a chocolatey flavor with a creamy-woody taste and a rich chocolate aroma. Some say it's similar to hot chocolate, but not as sweet/strong. Others describe it as a mix of cocoa flavor, nutty, and bright.

Imagine the warmth, smell, and slight taste of cocoa, but in its most natural form. The longer you steep it, the richer and more robust the flavor becomes!

Fresh cacao pods are harvested in Central & South America for SambaTree cocoa husk tea. Inside the white fruit pulp is the cacao bean. The raw cacao beans are roasted, then the shell/husk is removed & crushed and used for tea.

Flavor Suggestions: Add honey, a touch of cinnamon, and your favorite milk to enhance the flavor of cocoa husk tea.

To Brew Your Cup: Steep 2–3 tablespoons in hot water for 8-10 minutes using an infuser, coffee maker, or French press. The longer you brew it, the stronger the flavor will be. Add honey, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and your choice of milk for a delightful pick-me-up drink without the jitters of caffeine!
